Our Lady This cartoon of Our Lady represents one of the stained glass windows in the Ursuline Convent, Forest Gate.

The original chapel windows were damaged in the blitz and in 1948 John Trinick an Australian artist was commissioned to design new windows depicting 14 saints of special relevance to Ursulines.

This window of Our Lady is the first on the west wall of the chapel. It is highly coloured and intentionally simple in design. Our Lady appears young and calm, with a quiet strength. She has said her courageous “Yes” and now life continues its daily round of ordinary activities as she spins her thread and her daily life unfolds as the Mother of God.
